What is Data?
In simple terms, data is information and said information is 'you.' It is information you generate or produce by interacting with something or someone daily. Data can be used to identify, target, and potentially compromise, whether in pieces or as a whole. Data protection, therefore, is something we take seriously.

ALC understands the importance of data and how we manage information relating to our clients. We highlight three core practices that keep our firm ahead of security risks.
Canadian Solutions
We actively use Canadian tools and solutions to house and store our clients' data whenever possible. This lets us provide our clients peace of mind, knowing their data is protected by Canadian privacy laws and not free-floating internationally in cyberspace.
Security-First
This may sound simple, but legacy organizations often lack an understanding of what digital threats are present. This results in a workplace where security holes like "Password123" happen because there is no security-first mindset. At ALC, our actions are guided by the understanding that we are guardians of our clients' data.
Frequent audits
We check our systems, and we check them often. Understanding a threat and being proactive are core to data management practices, but to ensure we have a clean and well-running system, we use them frequently to ensure there are no surprises involved.
