What's a CPA?
Chartered Professional Accountant

Did you know the profession of "accounting" is broad to the point where anybody decent with numbers could arguably offer their services, hence technically qualifying as an "accountant."

So, what is a CPA, and why is it worth looking for and hiring a professional with these accreditations?

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)

In plain language, CPAs are accountants with formal education in addition to their work experiences. They have passed examinations by regulatory bodies that set formal rules and standards for the profession. Individuals who are accountants without having a designation typically lack formal education and have not passed any examinations by a regulatory body in their profession.
